My son went here last year. It is amazing. You do not have to be a crazy granola person to love the program, it includes the beauty of nature and the science of how animals live, but there is a lot of time for just normal play, art, music, books, and socialization. Every parent was thrilled with it.

The Audubon Nature Preschool has just a few spots remaining in our three day afternoon class (T,W,Th) for the 2009-2010 school year. This afternoon program is for children between 3 1/2 and 5 years of age (children must be 4 years old by March 1, 2010). Classes meet every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:30pm to 3:00pm. (Optional lunch bunch meets from 11:30am to 12:30pm) Also, there is the option to enroll in the ABC's of Nature which meets on many Monday afternoons.

The Audubon Nature Preschool is located at the Woodend Sanctuary, Chevy Chase, Maryland. The Nature Preschool builds on children's inherent curiosity about the world by using hands-on, nature-based activities to foster social, physical, and academic skill development. The 40-acre outdoor environment and Edwin Way Teale Learning Center serve as natural venues for language, artistic, and musical expression as well as scientific observations and discoveries. School is in session September through May and follows the MCPS calendar. Tuition is $425/per month.
