Any good food stops between DC and Pittsburgh?

Any recommendations for a quick bite on the ride from DC to Pittsburgh? TIA!

Not really. The turnpike is kind of a food desert.

OP here - we always end up eating in Breezewood!

Pack a snack and eat in Pitt? It's a 4.5 hour drive.

Just made this trip. Your choices are Breezewood or a rest stop, unfortunately.

No, but you should stop off in Monroeville at Moio's Italian pastry shop. Closed on Monday for baking.

Every place in Breezewood is just as delicious and clean as the next. Yum!

We always would stop in Hagerstown. There is a mall just off of 81. Nothing great.

You might want to check out a map, PP!

I used to drive between DC and Pgh weekly, and one way to get through it was to resist making any stops. There's an Amish market somewhere along 68 (a much prettier drive than the Turnpike) that I was always tempted to try, though. And I understand there's a decent Italian restaurant in Cumberland.

Do you go through Hagerstown? There's a good German restaurant there.
