Child with elayed speech

My son is 2.8 yrs. He has a speech delay. I want him to go to preschool, but wonder if he is ready. What would be the best preschool. We live in DC, but happy to drive for the best school.

My 20 mo old was just diagnosed w a speech delay so your posting caught my eye. pre-school is a long ways away for us but his PED recommended Dolley Madison pre-school in McLean. All three of her sons went there and one also had a speech delay. They happen to have a speech therapy center on site so your child could do the pre-school and the therapy all in one place. I've put my son on their waiting list.

You should also check into River School and St. Columbas. Have you checked his hearing? He may need tubes put in his ears.
