Half Day Daycare

Hi all, I would like to know if anyone can suggest a place in Bethesda or Chevy Chase that I can drop my 18th month old son off for a morning/afternoon one day every week? I just need a good place where I can start out with a half day and maybe build up from there. Thanks!

I looked for the same thing and never found it. We ended up with part-time but whole days. Many preschools do part time mornings or afternoons, but rarely start at 18mos. The exception I know of is Aidan montessori, and you would have to apply about 9 months out. Can you wait a bit and find a coop preschool? Or maybe a babysitting coop?

Thanks for the reply! We just moved here and I'm trying to figure everything out. I'm in need of "me" time and my son needs to be around other kids now. I'll look into the babysitting coop. Thanks again!

If you are willing to drive to Rockville, there is a great program at Children's Learning Center (CLC). I sent my son as soon as he turned 18 months last year for 2 mornings and it was a wonderfully enriching program for him and definitely gave me the "me time" that I needed. They are very flexible as to days/times. I also drive from Bethesda to CLC and it takes me about 20 minutes. Good luck!

If you need a little "Me" time, you may want to look into getting a sitter. The students from AU will be returning soon and you should be able to find 1 with a car for a few hours a week.

I would get a sitter and have them take your child to Blue Igloo or Little Graces.
