A leading Democrat explicitly refused to support even the possibility of single payer health care in the future. Then she sidled up to the health care industry immediately afterward and Hoovered up their $$$.

You mean like these two?

Uh, I get that you love your team and dislike the other team. But neither one (including yours!) supports single payer. |
See, we can be bipartisan ![]() |
My team is America. Proud lifelong independent, so....... |
Great!! Then you're able to see that both parties refuse to support a right to health care. Everyone seemed to cry along with Jimmy Kimmel today self righteously. But the Obamacare he and the Dems advocate leaves many Americans without health care. And many of them consequently die. |
Yep, just got forced onto the exchange. Family of four, 1365.00/month with a family deductible of 7,500.00. Will not pay for this, can't pay for this and won't have a health care policy for the first time in my adult life. Makes me so sad, seriously. |
Prior to enacting Obamacare, Obama himself explicitly said that he didn't support single payer because it would result in a loss of insurance industry jobs.

Fear not - some third world immigrant, probably illegal, has great health care at your expense. Sorry to hear this PP. Pisses me off to no end. There are a lot of urgent cares that have popped up to compensate and they are really good and inexpensive. Don't be afraid to use them. |
Stop being a total moron. |
What forced you on to the exchange? Have you priced insurance independently? Exchanges are still much cheaper and better coverage than trying to go to an insurance company and buying a policy for your family. |
Who forced you onto an exchange? |
I'm sorry for PP too. It pisses me off too. But the illegal immigrants aren't the ones with power here. It's the politicians who have decided whether the rest of us get to have health care. |
Sorry but Dems are still better. The Dems at least do have other members who do support single payer. But the Republicans have ZERO who support single payer. But it also goes to show the bigger issue in politics: campaign finance. Stop bitching about issue x or y if you aren't willing to take on campaign finance - because otherwise you will never get anywhere. |
I am ready for Feinstein to retire. I am a devout Democrat and am totally ready for medicare for all. |
