Mommy Dead and Deareast - new documentary coming to HBO

Has anyone heard of this story? Basically the mother had Munchausen by proxy and had everyone believing that the daughter was 19, had leukemia, muscular dystrophy, epilepsy, brain damage, the mind of a 7 year old, was wheelchair bound and numerous other illnesses. None of it was true but the mother insisted the daughter pretend to be sick. She had feeding tubes, took epilepsy meds that made her teeth fall out, they had a home built by habitat for humaity with wheelchair ramps and other amenities for the daughter. Was constantly in and out of the hospital and the mother was her full time care giver and homeschooled her. Eventually the daughter met a man online (her real age was 23) and fell in love. She had the man kill her mother. There was a cryptic facebook message left on the mothers page that is still up on facebook, btw. Neighbors became worried after reading the facebook post, you can see their responses under the facebook message, it's all still there. The daughter and boyfriend were eventually caught and her serving time. The below link, links to another more in depth article that tells the entire store and how it all unfolds. People were shocked, nobody knew it was all a lie about the daughter and these illnesses.

Yes, I read this story, I think on Buzzfeeed. Very, very strange.

I hope they're not serving much time. That degree of abuse should be mitigating.
