Its a fact - says it right in his G'town Prep yearbook. See here: https://www.dailykos.com/story/2017/02/02/1628945/-Gorsuch-s-Fascism-Forever-Club-and-doing-unconstitutional-takes-a-little-longer-Kissinger-quote

Read somewhere that Trump nominated someone who might go against him. Now I know where they clicked! |
I am very liberal but I don't count high school or early college as relevant....unless he was arrested at a KKK rally or for a violent crime |
This seems very likely fake... I'll wait for confirmation from something other than Daily Kos. |
Come on.....there's pictures from their yearbooks. Is that your response to every bit of information that you don't like? |
Are you stupid? Gorsuch was confirmed to a federal appeals court. I highly doubt that, if this yearbook picture were real, that would not have been reported or discussed in a mainstream newspaper. Also, it's pretty far fetched that Georgetown Prep would permit a club called "Fascism Forever." It's pretty easy to doctor a photo, moron. |
Doesn't affect my opinion at all. That was, what, over 30 years ago? Give it up, liberals. |
There's more than one picture. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4182852/amp/Trump-s-SCOTUS-pick-founded-club-called-Fascism-Forever.html |
I agree. He sounds like a Federalist. They may be obnoxious as teenagers, but usually mellow by the time they grow up. Actually, I looked it up. He is a member of the Federalist Society. |
If the worst they can drag up on this guy is a high school yearbook photo, I think he is doing pretty well. |
Wow. You're unmoved. But points for you for not calling us "libtards." |
I think you need to understand ironic humor. Just read the rest of his yearbook entry. “In political circles, our tireless President Gorsuch’s ‘Fascism Forever Club’ happily jerked its knees against the increasingly ‘left-wing’ tendencies of the faculty." It was the era of the Reagan revolution and you probably don't realize that many on the left were attacking Reagan as a fascist, so he was mocking them by setting up a "fascist club." It's typical of the humor of very bright kids in high school because of their quicker grasp of irony.
|
I wouldn't call it typical of "very bright" kids. It's actually pretty sophomoric, but agree he was really young then. |
So just like Trump, he won't act on his own words. There, I feel better now. |
The EIC of Snopes said she's looking into it now. It could be fake, it could be real but not mean what it looks like. Or it could be sayonara for Gorsuch! |
