Is USPS open on inauguration day?

Will we still get mail that day? TIA. (Already checked usps website and can't find any info)

Government is closed, so no.

The USPS as a whole is open, but some offices in DC will be closed and some homes will not get service that day due to road closures and security. Some mailbox/dropbox will be temporarily rsmoved as s safety precaution as well.

That is not how usps works. They make their own decisions about closing. While they do follow federal holidays, inauguration in not a federal holiday. Most people will get mail, although some post offices an mail delivery will limited in DC due to all the road closures.

What kind of mail do you get that is so important that one day will create a problem? All we get is junk mail.

Shipping out Etsy & Ebay orders. People get impatient if they order late in the day Thursday and it doesn't ship until Monday, and I try not to work on Saturdays.

Well, not the OP, but Entertainment Weekly usually shows up on Fridays, and it is good to get it on time. In addition, I got a card from a very good friend of mine last week, and it was timely that I got it when I did.

Don't assume everyone is in your boat, PP.
