Do you think it will be funny if a student goes to school when they go back from break, and they tell everyone in the classroom the salaries of the teachers at the school and the principal?
|
| Why would that be funny? Whenever a student asks how much I make, I tell them it's public information and they can google it if they really want to know. It's not hard to figure out. |
Why would that be funny? I really don't think the teachers or admin would care. As a previous poster noted, it's understood this is public information. I'm not even sure the students would know or care what the numbers mean anyway. |
| how drunk are you? |
Are you the FOIA poster? |
| What's wrong with you, OP? |
| OP, you need to get rid of the chip on your shoulder. What you're asking is 'is it okay for my child to mock and make fun of the people whom I've entrusted to teach him/her?'. I don't see how this benefits anyone. At our school, our teachers and administrative staff and Principal are hard-working and earnest in their passion for educating children. If you are unhappy with your child's public school then you should either move to a new school district or home school or go private. |
+1. PWCS FOIA nutjob. Who has at least learned not use ALL CAPS. |
| Don't reply and let this thread die. |
I feel very sorry for OP's children. |

If you mean funny as "odd", yes, I do think it would be quite odd.
My kids had some great teachers--and a couple who were not great. One really terrible teacher who did not last the school year--don't know if she quit or was fired, but everyone was relieved when she left. From time to time, I would get annoyed with a teacher when I thought the assignment was stupid--but, I never shared that with my kids-or, for that matter, the teacher. I always told my kids to do their work whether they thought it was appropriate or not. And, I never would have discussed the teacher pay with them. Why would anyone do that? As for the public record, we all can look up the range of pay--and, it's not that great. |

For god sakes. We like in DC. Half of us live our whole lives with publicly posted salary information.
|
| OP: lots of info for the kid to memorize over winter break, so start now! for a younger kid, maybe try flash cards? Teachers picture on the front, salary on the back? |
