| ^ this must be a Cold Spring score. |
My child was admitted last year with NV 8 points below median, verbal at median and quantitative above median (I think 5 or 6 above). |
Yes, the only outlier is Coldspring.... Differences in all the other centers aren't really significant. |
| 131V 160Q 159NV |
And CS HGC is something like 90% Asian. |
Good score, but posting without context is not helpful. Did your DC take Dr. Li's class? Have you been going to Kumon? What is the secret to near perfection? |
| She played Prodigy, which was recommended by her math teacher, at level 81 now. She's been learning math by herself on Khanacademy, at fifth grade now. That's about it. |
Not the PP, but thanks for posting that. I had never heard of Prodigy so I just googled it. Seems like something my DS would enjoy! |
That's DD''s score last year. She is in Cold Spring. |
That's untrue. Stop spreading the rumor. Another Myth is that HGCs are mostly girls. |
| My child is not Asian and will be attending Cold Spring. DC's scores: 155V 153Q 135NV |
| Definitely a brag-worthy score, PP. Did your child do anything special to get ready for testing? |
Look at the numbers posted above at 18:38...that's what prompted my comment. Care to take back your snarky post, pp, now that you've read those numbers? |
| One Cogat practice test purchased from Amazon and one from Itunes. No tutoring. DC has always been equally strong in reading and math. |
