Confession: I hate Pharrell's song "Happy"

Someone was posting on FB how much they like this song and how it made them "happy"-with a selfie or two included-unfortunately they were driving at the time and were killed immediately after the post-oh the irony!

A WOMAN has died after crashing her car while posting to Facebook about how happy Pharell’s megahit Happy made her.
Courtney Ann Sanford crossed the median and crashed head-on into a truck, just seconds after writing on Facebook, “The happy song makes me HAPPY”.
“In a matter of seconds, a life was over just so she could notify some friends she was happy,” said cops. Sanford had also posted a number of selfies as she drove, police said.

He has a beautiful voice, but that song drives me crazy.

The song doesn't have substance. I'm glad he wanted to do something positive but "raise your hands if you believe happiness is the truth" - since when is happiness a tenant of faith? The song doesn't really specify why he's happy or give inspiration to others to feel happy. It's just a "hey, raise your hands if you're happy" kind of like a grown up "if you're happy & your know it, clap your hands."

Definitely better than most of what else is out there, but not really something I can get excited about.
