Are there not that many women like me who prefer swimsuits with shorts style coverage on the bottom?

What does shaving or waxing have to with not wanting to wear bikini bottoms?

I love boy shorts and swim skirts. I take care of myself but am curvy and like to move around without feeling like I’m about to flash everyone.

I don’t like to show my pubic hair and I have an enormous bush. So if I don’t want to shave my bikini line (and I almost never want to), shorts are necessary.

Without shaving or waxing, most women have pubic hair that extends outside the bounds of a standard bikini bottom. I wax my bikini line myself, but during the period of time it’s growing back long enough to wax again, swim shorts it is.

Are you trying to hide bush or hide thick thighs?

Ok , some of us take price in our appearance and work out

NP, I am fit. I just don’t give a hoot what you or anyone else thinks about how much clothes I wear.

I do the same, just more comfortable in swim shorts

they aren't shorts, then, or their public hair is like 4" long?

Im thin and want a full coverage butt. I hate swim shorts. Something about the material, how tight they are and then when they get wet they ride up. I was constantly pulling them down. I don’t have big thighs that rub either. Not a fan. I do think swim skorts (a skirt with bikini underneath) are great. I had one when u was pregnant that I loved. Such a cute little flouncy skirt.

Omg! I had no idea that people didn’t trim. I know that not everyone likes to shave but I thought everyone trimmed at least with scissors.

I hope the trend ends soon. My 50 year old friends who are thin wear bikinis and I just want to tell them to stop. It's really sad to me.

You would hate Brazil...

A few years ago my kids and I got into scuba and longer days on the boat in general. I started wearing these full piece suits for spf coverage and to get in and out of my wetsuit better:

They are so flattering. If I am on the beach I wear athleta full coverage bottoms and a cute rash guard.

Coolibar has a nice selection of swim leggings too.

DP but trimming doesn’t help with the area that a bathing suit shows. You’d still have stubble or short hairs showing. Maybe the people who don’t understand this are all Nordic blondes with fine thin nonexistent hair. I’m a quarter Sicilian and that’s enough for it to be a problem.

I am short yet fit and tight swim shorts are highly unflattering on me. What looks best on me are bottoms that cover my butt but are high-cut enough to show a little hip. They elongate my legs

My second choice is board shorts, which are loose and have pockets and don’t hit me in weird places.

Lands End, I know others have said it as well. Great coverage. I’m in good shape for 59 but I’m modest, always have been, and just want reasonable coverage.

That's great! I take pride in my appearance and work out, too. But, alas, I had 3 C sections and am in menopause and my thin, muscular thighs are also covered in cellulite now. And due to the fact that society recoils at my body, I'd like to cover it up a little while at the pool so I can focus on my kids and enjoying myself. Is that ok with you?
