That being said, they aren't here for my comfort and I'm genuinely happy for them that they have a nice life and one or both has found love.

They are human beings like you are a human being. They didn’t choose to be co-joined twins. Why are you squeed out by people who didn’t choose their circumstances but graduated from college and teach 5th grades?

Stop pretending that they look normal. They don’t. Of course they didn’t choose their circumstances. Neither did the elephant man. But they still look odd.

Nobody is pretending they look normal. Lots of people don’t look “normal.” What is “normal,” btw? Civilized people don’t base their opinions of people on their looks.

I bet someone, somewhere, thinks you look odd.

DP- come on now you can’t be serious. There’s literally only one other set of conjoined twins with their same condition- connected in the same way- alive in the world right now. You mean to say that if they were walking down the street you wouldn’t look twice? Of course they look odd. It’s an odd situation.

+1
That PP likes to think they’re so above it all, but when you really get down to it there’s no way in helł there’s not even a fleeting thought of “omg what on earth is happening there…” when they see a medical oddity. Its a normal human reaction.

Human beings are not “medical oddities.” These women deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.

Some of you are not very nice.

Being curious about this VERY unique medical situation is in no way disrespecting these women. Humans are meant to be curious creatures, that's how we make progress in science, the world, etc.

The only odd thing is people pretending they don't have any questions.

Human beings are NOT medical oddities.

Being curious is ok; calling others “medical oddities” is not.

Are a bunch of nazis posting here?

These young women navigate matters like these daily, and have for 34 years now. What if one wanted to major in math and the other in education - what if one wants to go out to dinner and the other isn’t hungry - what if one likes Pearl Jam and the other hates listening to music - what if one got mad at their parents and the other didn’t. So on and so on. I’m not saying this is a run of the mill situation or one I have any insight to, but these women have spent their entire lives navigating forced togetherness 24/7 so I suspect that a lot of the questions people have on this thread are just not as large for them to navigate as they would be for you or me. They seem really cool and poised to me.

Well said.

This has already been asked.

They each only have feeling in half the body. Can the husband only touch half without cheating?

I think it's safe to say that most people, in most places, would think these women look more "odd" than any of us responding. There's nothing wrong with that, I just think its eye roll worthy to pretend these women are garden variety odd looking.

I wonder if the twins think of themselves as being kinky because they're in a throuple, or this was just the only way they could do the traditional thing of getting married.

OK I think this circumstance is very interesting because I’m not understanding how the orgasm/mental connection works here… But you can’t possibly think they’re doing this for a kink! They’re too living human beings, who deserve to be happy and fall in love. It’s a highly unusual situation and hopefully this guy is just super open-minded. He has a daughter from another relationship.

Why do you need to understand that?

Who said need? I’m curious and I want to know doesn’t mean I need to know. Don’t act like you’re so above all of this.

I guess I am “above” needing to know about that.

Then I'm surprised this thread is even of interest to you, but you keep posting

I'm sure they've figured out how to manage life after all this time together. And we'll never fully understand it but that's okay.

I can’t help it. I do, however, hope that he’s a decent and upstanding guy.

The women are evangelical Christian’s who attended a Christian college so he probably is too. Maybe not just a perverted weirdo?

Why would it make you think less of him?

I could be wrong, but my gut reaction is that he’s in it for some sort of kink. I’d like to think he truly fell for one—or the other, not that he wants to be that guy.

People used to say that about people marrying outside their race or normal height people marrying dwarves. There’s something wrong with your “gut”.

Yeah. People never have bad motives, and this situation is just like those other situations.

🙄🙄

I mean do you have any evidence the husband has any bad motives?

Getting married is a big commitment. If he refused to marry Abby, I would think he had bad motives.

I usually think of this entertainment forum as one of the meanest and most toxic on this site, so I'm surprised to see the mostly humane responses here!

I didn’t read the article, does anyone know how they met and started dating? I wonder what that guy found attractive about Abby.

Has the guy been married before, and how old is he? Any previous kids?

Do they plan to have kids together? Are the twins even capable of carrying a healthy pregnancy without it endangering their lives?

So many questions.
