He's proposing to BAN abortions at 15+ weeks. |
It's pretty obvious that the entire country is becoming less religious as a whole. Other than a few isolated pockets of crazy, which are part of living in a free society. |
+1 The Biden admin (in the Council of Economic Advisors report) recently announced support for a host of key YIMBY policy initiatives this week, like eliminating single-family zoning, reducing minimum lot sizes, and eliminating parking minimums a few days ago. These reforms may be popular among policy wonks, but it remains to be seen whether this will be helpful (or harmful) for Biden's election prospects among suburban voters in key swing states. There has been broad pushback against these initiatives in many states that do not neatly align with traditional partisan politics. Is this a good idea or bad idea for the Biden Admin to discuss addressing this issue so close to the 2024 election? https://www.whitehouse.go...P-2024.pdf The zoning reform discussion starts on page 163 for people that want to read it. ^^another thread; this is the real stuff democrats want to do that really will affect Americans. All Americans. |
DP. You are a fool. None of us are weak. We are trying to wake you up to what the people that Trump surrounds himself with are writing and saying. What they advocate for is frightening. Fear-mongering my butt. This is a wake up call. If you are too stupid to see what is happening and heed the warnings, you deserve some choice names. At this point in time, anyone still calling themselves a Republican, with the takeover by Trump and his extremist supporters, deserve some very choice names. But go ahead and keep blathering about pink hats as though that has any current relevance. |
Well then you must believe that Trump and every one of his gullible, stupid supporters is, in fact, brain dead. Because they traffic in nothing but made up shite. |
The U.S. has the largest Christian and Protestant population in the world. 75% of Americans report praying often or sometimes and religion plays a very or fairly important role in their lives. Judaism is the second-largest religion in the U.S., practiced by 2% of the population, followed by Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam, each with 1% of the population. |
Nobody needs or wants your help to become “woke.” You don’t have special insight or information. Hysterically emoting lies and propaganda and misinformation with no evidence, while insulting people and calling them names because they don’t agree with you or don’t believe you is just plain wrong. Why do feel entitled to call people names? People don’t like being insulted and called names by someone insisting they know best. Talk about an abusive personality, just no. |
Abortion |
No god gave me freedoms. I have them because of human beings sitting down together and writing documents outlining them that we as a society agreed to. |
Ohs! Nos! She means business. |
Like the civilized countries of Europe has? How dastardly. |
Dp- I mean… they definitely have a whole written document as evidence. It’s called project 2025. No one’s making anything up, this is what the Republicans have put out there. It’s by the Heritage Foundation a very well known and established conservative organization. |
Dp- the Republicans want a new agreement. |
Here is a quote from esfandiari - who is a scholar on women’s rights in Iran. The 1979 revolution brought out the masses of Iranian women who were demonstrating for the abolition of the monarchy and for an Islamic republic. They believed that an Islamic republic would give them total equality, removing all existing obstacles for participation of women in the affairs of the state. But in the excitement of that revolution, nobody paid much attention to what Ayatollah Khomeini was saying in Paris. He said women will have a role in the society but within an Islamic framework. Nobody bothered in those days to ask, "What is the Islamic framework?" |
I don’t think Trump’s proposal to ban abortion is going to dissuade Republican women from voting for him. Setting aside the Republican women who will always vote for the pro-life candidate (evangelicals, etc), I think a lot of Republican women don’t let abortion drive their vote. They think it is personally inapplicable to them, and they know deep down they can just travel internationally to secure an abortion if needed. So they look at issues that seem more relevant to them personally. If Trump proposed banning women from going to college or opening a bank account or driving - yes, the majority of Republican women would not vote for him. But that’s not on the table. |
