PP here. Guilty as charged. And I estimate 75% of my son's teammates' families live in that same bubble.

Tell me your son plays for Madlax without telling me your son plays for Madlax.

Actually no, or I would have said 99%.

There will be more than one team per grade. This is a great merger and is for the kids. People hate change but the kids will have better access to events and trainings and will all up level. Cavs coaches and kids are top notch. As are VLC. Perfect match. Huge kudos to the directors for looking to what is best for the lax kids in this area FIRST instead of holding on to fiefdoms. Great guys. Glad my kids are there. They love lacrosse and families and will keep it focused on family and the love of the game.

VLC already grabbed the whole CAV 2028 team....this is more about the 2029 and below, youth recruiting, and eliminating competition for players between the two clubs at the High School level.

And field space in Loudoun County. If you've been in the VA club circuit long enough, you know how limited field space really is.

Excellent observation. Anybody who wonders what Cavs is bringing to the barbeque, that is your answer.

Not sure they were competing with each other for talent at the HS level.

The owners kid plays for VLC! VLC offers opportunities for kids that might have a shot at playing in collage that CAVs couldn't offer. You would be surprised how many kids jump from Cavs to VLC. Not all the amazing Loudon County talent you read about on these forums starts on Madlax, VLC, Next Level, etc. Lot's of boys start at programs like Cavs before they develop or identify that they are better suited for other clubs. Now they don't have to jump to a new club.

The exact thing they went on and on about when we joined a few years ago, that they did not and would never have two teams per year because the B team is just a moneymaker. I guess that was you-know-who's position, because he had a job and wasn't in it for the money. There was always somewhat of a disconnect between his statements and the actions and statements from the coaches.

Cabs has found plenty of families to fool into thinking they will one day make it to the show if they just work hard enough on the B team and pay the extra $1K fee, so now looks like VLC/Crabs is thinking why not give up your founding principles and jump on the money-making bandwagon?

Sorry not familiar with you know who? My take was that Cav’s would run as a separate club under the Crabs family but not a VLC B team.

Per the Announcement the Cavs will run under the VLC name. To me that sounds like two VLC teams and one is going to be A team the other the B team.

There isn't going to be two teams per grade. This was decision made higher up than VLC. VLC and Cavs will operate as different units.

VLC will get the young teams they wanted and CAVS gets the HS recruiting connections they desired. CAVS will run B teams and VLC run A teams and if you are elite players you will run with CRABS...

I don’t think anybody on here knows exactly how it will work…
