Lost friends/family over Donald Trump?

Some are so adamant that no communication is possible.

No.

I just let them have their thoughts and move on. I judge them silently in my mind

Perhaps you need to look within yourself. Maybe your friends and family are not the problem.

Said like a perfect Trumpter pp.

+1 read the post in independent schools. Kids say they are HRC supporters just to avoid vilification.
Tolerance on the parts of liberals is a joke.

I wouldn't say I've lost them but I will never look at them the same way. Mostly they are so entrenched in conspiracy theory wacko views about Clinton that no rational discussion is possible. Also, as a minority immigrant I feel hurt they are supporting someone so racist. If my daughter ever becomes a judge, she'll never be as trustworthy as a white judge and apparently they're fine with that judgement.

One of my friends do not hang out with us anymore. We did not attack her but she distanced herself.

As much as I make fun of Trump, I dislike Republican politics even more than the candidate. I do not understand why people get so hang up on candidates. I much prefer a parliament system where we vote for parties.

Not if the person whose case she's judging had just said racist remarks against the people from her country of origin and those remarks were all over the news. Then no, understandably she likely wouldn't be unbiased.

I don't have a single family member or friend who is a Trump supporter but I'm also AA. I have quite a few who don't like Clinton and won't vote for her though (I'm ok with that).

This is idiotic. My friends that like Trump and I joke about it back and forth. Most real Americans want what's best for the country regardless of who wins. The Internet has a way of magnifying things and allows people to act ridiculous due to anonymity.

So true. People here want to talk like they're so big and bad and calling folks out left and right, ending friendships, shaming people into a dark corner, bullying non-believers until they're a sniveling ball of self loathing.

This is a perk of being a racist jerk. People then think your bias against minority judges is then totally justified.

I don't understand people who think supporting Trump is somehow "ok" and just another perspective. He's vile, a racist, a misogynist and an idiot who would destroy this country if he got his way as he destroys pretty much everything he touches.

I get it, OP -- voting for Trump is a dealbreaker.

And I don't understand people who think supporting Hillary is somehow "ok" and just another perspective. She's evil, self-serving, vulgar, vile and has already been a traitor to the country.
