About the same level of "oops" as Trump soliciting money from British, Austrian, Australian politicians (I don't remember all the countries, but it was more than just those). It's a violation of campaign finance laws, but it was just a mistake. No harm no foul, right?

I really hate the Hatch act. What a hypocritical law. Sure the legislative branch can take all the money, bribes and food they want from lobbyists, but those executive branch people can't even post on facebook about their political affiliations during their breaks.

Plus, local governments in the DC metro area are deprived of smart, capable, ethical public servants. Thus you get the DC city council, which is filled with the cronies and employees of real estate development companies. Same in Alexandria, Arlington, and other surrounding jurisdictions. The Hatch Act prevents all federal employees from being involved in local politics. It's absurd.
