Crayola Experience, Sesame Place, Great Wolf Lodge, and Deep Creek? I need options.

I'm planning a couple short trips this summer with my 5 year old. I would love to know everyone's option on the following places:

Crayola Experience
Sesame Place
Great Wolf Lodge
Deep Creek

Is it just one adult and one kid? My kids love GWL although there are serious detractors in this site. When they were little, they also loved sesame place. Deep creek is totally different - more relaxing or boating or something and I would definitely not go there alone with a 5 year old as there is not that much to do unless you plan it.

Hershey
Dutch Wonderland

Great wolf is more of a winter thing.

Dutch wonderland.

Crayola is not that good for being a couple hours out of the way.

Crayola is really underwhelming. Sesame Place is lots of fun for that age particularly if they are Sesame Street fans.

Dutch Wonderland is great for that age b/c you can do the park and also Amish country (buggy rides, etc.) and downtown Lancaster. Best Western Eden Resort has a terrific pool. You can easily spend 3-4 days in the area.

OP here.

Thanks for the advice. I have never heard of Dutch Wonderland. I looked at the website and it looks pretty cool.

We loved Sesame Place when DS was younger. 5 really is on the tail-end of the appropriate age group so if you go it need to be this year.

Plenty of fun water rides in the summer. Small enough to do the whole part in 1 day. Sometimes they have some really great concerts.

We liked Crayola!

Are your kids artsy? My kids love to draw & create; they had a blast there. Older two were 4 and 7 when we went. They just asked about going back -- and they're now 7 & 10.

It is all inside, tho. I'd either save it for a really hot or rainy day when you didn't mind being cooped up in a dark-ish building. We went in the winter and stayed at a hotel with an indoor pool.

Dutch wonderland is also great fun at 5! We did that in a day trip from NWDC.

Franklin Institute or Liberty Science Center.

A Nats game (or Potomac Nationals for a cheaper, easier experience) and on a very hot or rainy day, maybe a Liberty game?
