He apparently bought alcohol for the kids. Happened in 2014, but story was just now on WTOP. Anyone know about this? |
Woah. |
The reporter asked the one father if the school had ever sent out something to say the trip wasn't sponsored by FCPS. Please. Why would the school sent something like that out? Stupid question. |
He got the kids drunk and had them perform sex acts on each other and him. And the parents were not told?? |
OMG! Every. Single. Parent needs to see this report. It will shatter your faith in the system. |
The school said the parents were told once school officials found out. Isn't that correct? |
To be clear: neither Langley nor FCPS had anything to do with this trip. It was planned by a private firm and the teacher himself. Not school-sponsored. |
Wait a minute, let's be honest here...
Exactly how did the German exchange students attend Langley High School for one month, if FCPS had nothing to do with this?? The German students came to Langley, and Langley students went to Germany, hence the "exchange". FCPS is in FAT trouble this time. That's why they kept this quiet so so long. For how many years?? Their teacher was molesting the kids at scuba classes to. Cooper Middle School parents said this pervert teacher had RED flags all over the place. See fairfaxundergound.com for more dirt on this, with lots of links. |
The NBC station reported on the 11 p.m. news last night that though originally FCPS told NBC the school system had notified all parents of kids on that trip about this -- FCPS was now changing that and saying it only notified "parents of victims." Whatever that means. I would think every kid on that trip is a victim in the sense that the whole atmosphere must have been deeply sexualized and tainted. Even kids who might have had nothing at all to do with drinking or sex would have heard about it and felt trapped overseas with this creep. The report said the teacher couldn't be investigated criminally because the events happened overseas. NBC also saying that the teacher cannot be located by them or anyone else, and has absconded with $18.000 in advance payments families gave him for a 2015 trip that never happened -- so he must have been gone by or sometime in 2015. Wondering why this only got into the news now--? There are a lot of trips in summers and at spring breaks that are not school-sponsored but because teachers lead them and promote them to students, seem to have at least the OK of the school. Parents need to be aware that these are not "school trips." Just -- wow. |
FCPS is most likely getting sued big time for their apparent negligence. This pedophile had a history of making sexual jokes during classes at Cooper Middle School. People knew about this, but never alerted police to investigate him. He was taking individual students out to eat with him. And the scuba encounters... He had a hankering for boys. Classic grooming.
You need to know who's getting access to your kid. |
Exactly....FCPS cannot say their hands are clean here. What an awful story. |
The county participated by allowing their faculty to promote this trip through school and participating the exchange piece. Of course parents thought it was a school sponsored trip. Scary. |
According to a cover-page article in the Great Falls Connection newspaper, there were about twenty (20) German students that Langley High School hosted every school day for one whole month. One of these German students reported to the journalist that American kids have much 'closer' relationships with their school teachers than you would in Germany. I got a clear sense that the featured German student was one of the 'special' boys of the pedophile teacher.
The FBI really needs to go to Germany to interview the possible victims of sexual exploitation of this con artist teacher. And then nail this serial child abuser. Shame on FCPS for trying so hard to keep this filthy secret quiet. Children have been severely harmed, and not professionally helped all this time. Shame. Shame. Shame. Kudos to the superb NBC investigative reporters for digging out the facts of these crimes, and bringing them to our attention. We owe them for doing this unpleasant and risky work. Now we know who really cares about the safety of our kids, and it ain't the Fairfax County School Board. I guess they have bigger fish to fry these days. |
Thank you, NBC. |
