Agreed. This is absolutely horrific and unbelievable. i saw just now that the principal has been put on leave. those poor children.

It's awful. One thing I took away from this is that, I suspect, most folks who do this stuff don't get caught. Even chaperoning a field trip in our district requires fingerprinting and a background check.

Volunteers in PGCPS have to go through a background check or fingerprinting. If he was never caught before, he wouldn't have any problems being cleared to volunteer.

My issue, in addition to the obvious, is that this is the second principal that we know of that DID NOT REPORT suspicions/reports of abuse in a fairly short time period. WHY?

So the WaPo article says she reported it immediately, but another article says that teachers told her they were suspicious and she said there was nothing she could do without proof.

I can't help noticing that Patricia Eubank,s the elected School Board member for District 4, hasn't made ANY statement at all on the topic. Maybe she is too focused on running a re-election campaign and not on standing up for her constituents. How that woman keeps getting elected is beyond me.

He was a choir director.

22 year old man volunteers as a youth choir director and elementary school library assistant. Dresses up as Santa Claus and is often seem walking school aged boys home. You think there might be something going on, there?
