Does dating white guys make me self-racist?

I'm an Indian American woman who was raised by really traditional and conservative Indian parents. At 24, I am now almost exclusively attracted to blonde super preppy Americana boys.
A part of it feels natural; I went to an all white high school. The other feels strange. Why don't I want to date Indian guys? I'm so confused! |

I'm half Indian and half white. I'm completely and totally unattracted to Indian guys and white guys. Does that make me self-hating? I don't know.
Lots of people have types they're attracted to (although this can change significantly in one person's lifetime). It's one thing if certain traits get your, erm, juices flowing, and another thing if you have prejudices against other groups. |

Not racist, just crazy! Indian guys are superhot. Like any race, when they're not, they're not, but when they are....grrr... but like what you like- not a big deal- I think you get oriented to what you were raised around, so your high school years imprinted you.

| Not self-hating unless you have a strict "no Indian guys" policy. IMO, something is not quite right with a person who writes off ALL potential partners of their race. |

I could have written this post, except I'm 35 and married to a pale white guy (ginger). FWIW, I'm very proud of my culture so I don't think I'm racist in any way.

As a Eurasian person, with a white European mother and an Asian father, it feels really weird to me (borderline offensive) that you would second-guess yourself. Racist? Come on. There are better things to do with your time than agonize over this. |
