when did people start noticing

I am 5'4" and around 115 lbs pre-pregnancy . I could tell I was pregnant at around 16 weeks, but it's still not noticeable to strangers and I am 25 weeks.

I'm about your size. I must've been about 5 months pregnant when belly became obvious.

Even if people do notice now, if they are polite, they won't say it to you.

First time, I was definitely into my 3rd tri; this time, I think it was earlier, but still late in the 2nd tri, before people feel comfortable saying something. I'm actually still surprised when strangers say something. It seems so risky to me! (Even though I am, in fact, pregnant.)

I know! I feel like I look SO pregnant (16 weeks), but no one says anything or even does the subtle glance. Except my DC's day care lady, who noticed at about 12 weeks and asked if I was pregnant again.

My only problem with this is I miss the days when people willingly gave up their seats on the metro because I was pregnant. Winter coats don't help, either. This tired mama needs a seat, people!

This was my size, and I'm now 33 weeks with #3. I told people at work at 13 weeks and by the very next week, 14 weeks, people were saying it was obvious. That may be because it was my third.

I was about your size pre-pregnancy and also thought I was totally obvious by then! I started getting questions from colleagues not in my immediate office around 20 weeks, although most asked later. I didn't get a stranger ask me until recently- maybe at 26 weeks or so? And all from other women. At 29 weeks now and haven't been offered a seat on the metro yet, although I'm only on for a couple stops usually. I actually think the bulky jackets make it a bit less obvious than just normal clothes.

YES. This is my issue and I am the OP. It's also tricky going to the grocery store. No one offers to help me with bulky stuff.

You're pregnant, not an invalid.

I was waddling around hugely pregnant with my 2nd. Or so I thought.

When I got home from the hospital, stork sign in the yard, new baby in my arms a newish neighbor said "Congratulations! I didn't even realize that you were pregnant!"

I was carrying compactly and had sort of an all over pregnancy - not just my stomach. Plus, the weather was cooler and I had been wearing jackets and warmer sweaters...

So in some cases they never do realize until after the baby is born, haha.

The person who wrote that comment has never been pregnant.

No I disagree. I think it's common for the bagger to ask if a customer needs help. At wf and trader joes they always offer to assist me to my car. Now I live in a small college town so it's all very young baggers. Anyway I will just have to ask next time.

Just ask. For normal stuff I don't need assistance but for the 40 lb bags of cat litter, I get someone to put it in my car. The last time an associate at petsmart asked me first, but prior to then, when I wasn't obvious yet, I just asked for assistance.

Yeah I think it's totally store dependent. I always get asked at MOMs, pregnant or not.

+1. I was ready to tell more people at around 17 weeks, so wore things that showed the belly more, but I definitely could have hid it until 5 months if I had reason to.
