What is the consensus? Is wireless internet safe for kids? Is this a non-issue?
I saw a sign posted by Safe Tech for Schools and they do seem to make some good points. http://safetechforschoolsmaryland.blogspot.com/2015/02/bells-mills-radiation-levels-in.html And, there's a meeting on October 20th at Bells Mill about this. Anyone involved in this? |
Did anyone attend this? I would love to know what actions parents can take to assure schools are safe and hopefully confirm that what has already been installed has been properly vetted. |
I was not able to attend, but would be interested in hearing from anyone who did.
I also just saw this thread on the Schools Forum with some interesting links in case anyone didn't see it: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/15/395407.page |
Excellent turnout resulting W-USA News Coverage at http://parentscoalitionmc.blogspot.com/2015/10/wusa9-mcps-parents-concerned-about.html |
Does anyone attend Bells Mill? What do the parents at Bells Mill think? |
this sounds like a bunch of hysterical nonsense and I don't think OP is a disinterested observer. |
Yup. The Parents Coalition has their (really her) panties in a bunch about this. Time to take off the tin foil hat Janis. |
Bunch of nuts that don't know diddly about science or research.

Bunch of nut teachers that don't know diddly about science or research. Wireless radiation is emitted by the myriad of wireless devices we encounter every day. It was once thought to be relatively harmless. However, we now know that wireless radiation can cause non-thermal biological effects as well, including damage to cells and DNA, even at low levels. Reducing Your Exposure to Wireless Radiation Some tips to reduce your exposure to wireless radiation. What You Need to Know About Wireless Radiation and Your Baby Taking certain precautions around wireless radiation is appropriate for our most vulnerable populations, including pregnant women. http://www.uft.org/our-rights/wireless-radiation |
Let's see you post a link to the New York branch of the ATU, and two non scientific papers full of conjecture and falsehoods. The other link is to a peer reviewed journal of the NIHs National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. A sane person would lend credence to which one? People who believe wireless is a health hazard are just not smart enough, or motivated enough, to read and understand the science. Educate yourself before making yourself look like a fool. |
Hey crazy wireless lady! Welcome back! Finished wrapping your money in foil? |
|
Ridiculous statement! Everyone knows crazy wireless lady wraps her KIDS in gluten-free, free range foil. |
Doesn't everyone have wifi in their homes? How is this different? (real question) |
200 times what is in homes |
