Gorgeous 38 yr old doctor, mom of 3 found dead in NYC building lobby

Anyone else really into this story? Not sure if it's because she went to one of the same schools as I did or because she seems like someone I'd know in real life. So sad for her husband and young kids!

She was most likely roofied or consumed GHB. Nasty stuff. My guess is that the husband knew she liked to party and she probably has done this multiple times before. |

To DCUM audience? Yes, it does. Especially if they were wealthy (check) and pretty (check). Look at the crazy, unending thread about Savopoulos family tragedy - wealthy, attractive, and seemingly "had it all." Those traits are the gossip grist for the DCUM lookie-loos. |

Why does she seem like someone you'd know in real life? Because she's a doctor? gorgeous? likes to party? This doesn't seem like a big mystery to me. She's a doctor who likes to party, did too many drugs, and got herself killed. I'm not saying it's not sad, but it's not a very interesting story unlike, say, the murder of the family in NW last summer. |

Her husband is a dermatologist too. Her first marriage ended in divorce.

In fact OP has put all of the information that's important for DCUM right there in the thread title. She was 38, she was gorgeous, she was a doctor, and she was a mother of 3. No need to know anything more about her, besides that she's dead because she made bad choices that we can now cluck about. |

This was not her first rodeo. She's probably come into the city many times before and spent the night partying with friends. Usually no harm, no foul. This is a lot more common than you realize. I have successful friends with kids in their late 30s and 40s who do this. The fact that these guys were trying to dump her lifeless body into a cab speaks volumes. Something bad happened and they were trying to get rid of her. Who does that to a friend?!? The police are searching the apartment in an effort to find whatever downers she consumed. She was either roofied or she took too many sleeping pills/downers, which she probably self-prescribed. After a night of partying, many cocaine users will take some benzos or sleeping pills to help them fall asleep. She could have been inebriated and taken way too many. This could cause her to suffocate in her sleep. Mixing uppers and downers is a bad combo. The underwear in her purse is also a very bad sign. I'm leaning toward roofies being the culprit, after she had already willingly consumed cocaine. |

We don't know how she died. Maybe she had a girls night out and it took a strange turn.
