No, people who have class have always tipped for takeout. |
Then don’t complain when there are no restaurants. What’s a living wage? I live in Arlignton, and I couldn’t live on $200 an hour. Should waiters make $200 an hour? |
I tip when picking up take out from a sit down restaurant wheres taff relies on tip. Usually 10% I do not tip at a fast casual place like Chipotle where the staff is paid a regular wage. |
Sorry you're poor and you'll miss 4-5 dollars. 4-5 bucks a few times a week is not changing my life but I know it brightens the day of the service workers, so why not. |
I don’t tip on anything where I place the order standing up or I pickup the food myself.
I haven’t noticed a mass closure of restaurants due to lack of takeout tipping. |
I tip 5% at my regular places on my take-out because I like the food and the people. I do not tip at new places - I want to see how they treat me without the tip first.
For sit-down service, I tip 15% at all times unless there is a problem, or 20% if they go above and beyond. |
It depends. I stopped tipping at Pizzeria Paradiso, since they put in the system of including the tip.
I also tip regularly about 10-15% at a Chinese that we order regularly from. Others, I’d put in 5$ or so depending really on the order. |
