Any parents get a tattoo after having kids?

I've contemplated getting a tattoo for years, but never quite settled on what I wanted. Finally found something that "calls" to me so to speak. I'm over 50% Irish, didn't want something with just one kids name (incase we have more), and love this mother/daughter celtic knot:

I have zero tattoo's, not planning on anything large, just something small. I had my sister (artist) copy that only my wrist to "try it out" and just smiled everytime I noticed it. Anyone else want to get one after you had a child?

I had one tattoo before I had children and have gotten several after. What exactly is your concern? That your body will change with more children and affect the look? How your child will react?

I have a tattoo for each of my children, an animal that sort of represents them and their names. Someday I would love to get one made from a drawing by my oldest, probably of the family, but I want to make sure we're finished having children first, do everyone's in it.

I'm a dad, if that matters (for some reason on here, it usually does.)

Not really. After experiencing PPD, I contemplated getting the semicolon tattoo behind my ear, but the urge passed.

If something really speaks to you, go for it!

OP Here - No concerns really, just curious if anyone felt a pull to get something specific after having a child. It was always something I thought about but after seeing that one it just felt like the perfect one. Having never gotten one I wasn't sure if most people felt like that when they thought about their future tattoo or what.

I think it depends more on how you feel about tattoos in general. It's not my thing, but if it works for you, go for it .

I do like that pattern though. I think for me I'd love it as a necklace.
