And you're still thinking formula is just as good as breast milk...

Turns out boys and girls receive different amounts of nutrients from mom's milk. How awesome is that?

It is awesome, but why do you need to insult formula? You have problems.

Ho hum.

Get a life, OP. This debate is so tired.

Could you provide the actual study, not some poorly written article?

Get a life for yourself, OP. Having milk come out of your breasts cannot be your only life accomplishment.

Even in this article, the author cannot say that these results are beneficial to the child!

Seriously, this is crap science. And I nursed two children until they were 14 and 18 months.

And when a mother has boy-girl twins the milk...?

And yet...watch us go!

Yes, I am still thinking that formula is as good as breast milk after I read your article since the article did nothing to disprove that. Different is not better.

Ugh, OP. You give breastfeeding moms a bad name. My bona fides: I nursed my oldest until 3, middle until 2, and am still nursing the "baby" at 2.5.

I worked my butt off to maintain my supply and get through some nursing challenges. I'm a believer.

But...what's the point in insulting formula? What do you think you will accomplish? You just make yourself look petty.

Okay, I'm sure you've convinced all the rhesus monkeys reading this to breastfeed. Good work!

Actually the way I read the article is that breastmilk is not necessarily better than formula. When the mothers were stressed they had cortisol in their milk which adversly affected their baby. Formula has no cortisol. How awesome is that?

My baby was failing to gain weight with breast milk and did great with formula..that was pretty awesome to me!

What if the mom drinks or smokes or did/does drugs or has a poor immune system, etc? What if the mom is exposed to a lot of chemicals or pesticides or plastics or smog?

This is so dumb. Breastfeed or bottle feed...your kid will likely be fine either way.

Fwiw, one of my greatest concerns is to avoid raising a selfish asshole. Ymmv.
