Can anyone please recommend an eating disorder therapist. I tried the Renfree center a year ago but it wasn't a good fit for me. I'm looking for someone ideally in the Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, Bethesda area.

If you don't mind, I am curious why the Renfrew was not a good fit. I am thinking of seeing them now.

Bumping this up, anyone have additional recommendations, esp in downtown DC / not Maryland?
Recs for nutritionists with eating disorder recovery focus also would be great! |
| Sandy and Bill Pinney in georgetown. |

Have you tried overeaters anonymous?
It is for all kind of eating disorders, not just overeating. They are very welcoming. |
I don't know if Bill is doing eating disoder cases anymore. Sandy is a good nutritionist, however. Try Dr. Alisa Schwartz at Dupont Circle. |

OA may be helpful if OP is bulimic but probably wouldn't be a good fit if she is anorexic (or both anorexic & bulimic) as the focus tends to be on "abstaining" from certain foods (sugar, flour, etc) which can be very triggering for someone who struggles with restriction. |
