Easter egg roll info.

I am so excited that they've changed up the ticket process. For once, I might actually have a shot at getting tickets!

I thought the same thing until DH explained to me that there will be ten times as many people online trying to get tickets, including the scalpers. Like HFStival tickets going onsale online. Ugh.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but is it on Easter Sunday?

does anyone know how muhc the tickets are going to be?

also it says no more than 2 adults per a group

If I order tickets for myself and my family
along with a relative and there family

4 adults/2 children total

does anyone know if we are considered one group and can we be 2 groups if we hand the confirmationpaper to them twice?

The link above lists the date of the easter egg roll.

to poster 19:16 I don't think you can be considered two groups - It seems like they want more kids to attend this than adults - so there can only be two adults for every four kids.

Maybe I am totally blind but I didn't see a date for the event just the date for when tickets will be available.

It is April 13, I believed its Monday

The date really isn't on the White House site. It's Monday, April 13th as a PP said.

Is everyone thinking that the tickets will be available as of 12:01am on Thursday or will it be a more reasonable time?

I wish they will be more specific and transparent on the exact details of the ticketing process. We don't need another ticketing mess like the Inauguration.

Inauguration tickets were distributed by Members of Congress as they are every four years, not online. How are they comparable?

I realize it is different but I was referring to the Inaugural Ball ticketing (see waPost for details). Hopefully we will all be able to enter the lottery in the same time frame.

I don't have the ability to spend the night on the White House Lawn to get tickets, so yes, this actually is a chance for me to get tickets. It may still be a slim chance, but it is better than no chance.

I imagine that doing it this way means that there will be a lot of no shows. What then? Can both my husband and I enter the lottery hoping that one of us gets the tix?

Just hope the site doesn't crash.

The ad/disadvantage of online (verse standing in line) is that it really opens it up to the country (everyone from tourists to folks outside the metro area like WVA) so your chances may be a little tougher of getting a ticket.

I think you and the rest of the zillion wantabees are going to be frozen at the computer at 1159pm on Wed. night trying to enter the site.

Good luck though.
