We spend too much on groceries. Or do we?

We spend about $500/mo on groceries. There's me, dh, an infant, a toddler, 7 year old girl and twin 16 yr old boys. How much do you spend?

It seems like we are going through boxes of pasta, rice, veggies, snacks, milk, eggs and cheese about as fast as I can bring it through the door. Advice?

Where do you shop at - Walmart? We spend close to $1000/mo for a family of 4 - kids are 6 and 9. I mostly go to TJs. I can't believe you only spend $500/mo with twin 16 yr old boys. Seems like you'd spend $500/mo just for the twin 16 yr old boys.

Seriously? I spend $600/month for my husband and me.

At a restaurant we can easily spend about $150 for all of us.

I'm sorry to say, OP, but you're throwing money away. My four wives, 12 kids and I live a simple but fulfilled and healthy Mormon life, and we typically spend only $350/ month.
