Night Nurse

Did anyone use a nighttime nurse for the first week or 2 after bringing the baby home? If so, how did you find the nurse? Also, what are the pros and cons of having one? Thanks!!!

I did not use one with 1st one but would use one this time around in a second!

Yes, I had mine for 14 weeks (preemie). I found her through a friend.

Pros: More sleep.

Cons: Expense.

Some postpartum doulas will also do overnights after the baby is born. Philosophy is somewhat different from a nurse and they aren't typically RNs or LPNs, but do have certification as a postpartum doula.
