Women - do you every have orgasms while you're sleeping?

Anonymous
[putting this in the 'Health' forum, because I'm asking more from a question about the human body/mind, rather than sexual standpoint]

I'm not talking about dreaming about having an orgasm, or being stimulated while asleep (creepy as that is), but you, by yourself, having an orgasm while asleep (or waking up during the middle of it, or after it). Like you get that swollen & ache feeling, but while you were asleep?

How does this happen? I have these from time to time, and while they're always amazing, it also really weirds me out how the body almost does this on its own, without stimulation, or your mind choosing to go there.

"Swollen and ache" feeling?

I'm not sure I have the same orgasms as you.

I have vivid dreams, but I've never experienced an o while dreaming. Always part of the dream, too...we get interrupted or I just wake up.

Yes, I've had wet dreams. Mentally, I feel as though I've orgasmed, and everything is tingly.

I assure you, it's a very, very good swollen and achy feeling!

Yes, quite frequently.

I have really vivid sex dreams occasionally but I dont think I've ever actually orgasmed... which is why I wake up frustrated.

I recently had a really intense one that starred Chris Hemsworth. Just as we were about to start doing it, my alarm went off. I've never been madder in my life.

They are spontaneous orgasms and they wake you up in a good way.

Yes. The really weird thing is the dream always involves my husband. I have never had a sexual dream about any other man.

Only once, when pregnant.

I've had vivid sex dreams and have actually orgasmed from them. I know because the orgasm wakes me up, and I'm just at the tail end of it when I start to wake.

I do. I posted about it because when I wake up with an orgasm, I always have a full bladder. I thought the two might be connected.

It can be the body releasing stress.
And have nothing to do with a sexual dream.

Still very nice.

I always wake up with a full bladder. Sleeping orgasms (for me) only happen a couple of times per year.

Yes I have these every so often. Glad to hear that I am not weird! I've always wondered. Strangely, my "dream" orgasms are more powerful than most in real life. Anyone else noting this? Sometimes I wake up in the middle of an orgasm, and the slightest touch in that area makes it go even more crazy. (Again, from a health and medicine point of view.. I am not seeking to titillate anyone.) Does that sound right to anyone?
