As a single Mom, I've always wondered this -- why was Richie only concerned about his daughter when she was almost fully grown? All research shows that kids are mostly shaped and influenced when they are very young (to about 3). Mid-adolescence is another very vulnerable time. I understand that her mother was having issues when Ava was older at 17/18 -- but really, Richie - why didn't all the travelling and touring bother him until then? If his daughter's welfare was truly a top priority -- we would have seen that top priority through Richie's actions throughout Ava's life......

Not necessarily. Adolescent problems are a fresh hell compared to elementary age.

JBJ famously criticized Richie Sambora for leaving the band...in a whiny sort of way.

As we now know, Richie left to care for his daughter since her mom/his ex famous train wreck Heather Locklear had serious issues.

Fast forward: Richie’s daughter is a straight A student in grad school who leads a normal, happy life. (No clue what JBJ’s kids do.)

I think everyone realizes JBJ’s music without Sambora all sounds the same...blah.

I hope he apologizes for his stupid behavior. What a jerk.

A lot of us knew that at the time.
