Is anyone else on here old enough to remember when sorority girls were not chubby?

"Let me guess. You've never smoked a cigarette, and your parents are your heroes."

What does this even mean? Is it an attempt at an insult?

And for all the olds: WDFWU.

I know a lot of this is teasing in good fun but what I don't think a lot millennials understand is that I wouldn't want to be one for all the money in the world. I am GLAD I am a gen-xer and grew up when I did. I can't freaking imagine growing up and dealing with early adulthood with social media. While social progress and social awareness is awesome "social justice" is ridiculous and I'm from the generation when "political correctness" became a thing. Millennials also have it way too easy for somethings and way too hard for others.

Plus are music was way better.

Social media actually isn't that bad, and can be a lot of fun, when you figure out how to use it. Also can be a great way to promote whatever you want, be it a business or just yourself.

And pretty sure every generation thinks they have the best music . All I'm gonna say is that millennials are turning out some incredibly creative and inventive and progressive stuff.

Let's see: Washed Out, Jamie XX, Kendrick Lamar, Bon Iver, Haim, Youth Lagoon, Adele, Father John Misty, St Vincent, Hozier, Robin Pecknold, Tame Impala, Kurt Vile, Devandra Banhart, Future Islands.

Just off the top of my head.

"Why did they waste the money going if they weren't going to watch?
Why do they need THAT MANY pictures of themselves? How self-obsessed can you be?"

She'll take selfies with her friends, or by herself if she has something awesome in the background, but it's not daily.

I put plenty of pics of other stuff, like landscapes or pretty scenes.

But when I post a selfie, I get like 100 more likes. Both from thirsty guys and friends/family.

So basically... it's in my best interest, considering a strong social media presence (so long as it's done correctly) can be beneficial for one's career (probably not the careers most DC oldies have gone into, but not everyone wants those careers) to take selfies.

Also, it's nice to commemorate your face when you look so damn cute.

Your mistake is thinking that a "strong media presence" actually translates to something. Most of the time it gets you nothing.

They are young women having FUN. No one except old white men with potbellies actually pay attention to a baseball game. Oldsters who make fun of kids diminish themselves.

Exactly. When my husband goes with the guys, they sit there and drink and talk all night. They wanted a chance to be silly and to be the number one fan of the game.

This whole thread is so misogynist and mean spirited. Really makes me sad.

I think they are cute and acting age appropriate for the United States. Twenty two years from now, half of them will be divorced, 10 percent of them will be alcoholics, 20 percent of them will be SAHMs and the rest will have a different version of today's most boring jobs.

Let them have their day in the sun.

I am an old person, actually a very old person, and age comes tolerance. Don't piss in the wind.
