Thoughts on Quincy as a girl's name?

I think it's cute.

OP has probably already named her daughter by now, but I am pro-Quincy. And anti-Quinn.

I have a female friend named Quincey (with an e) and it's distinctive. We all call her Quince. Quinn is a character's name on Glee, which means that there will be 8,000 Quinns on the playground in three years.

Um...not so much.

Quincy is not an androgynous name. It's a boy's name. And like Logan, Ryan, Elliott, etc., when used for a girl it just sounds like you're trying too hard.

Pretentious and affected. If it is a family name and as a middle name, fine. Otherwise, give her a name she can grow into.

Lot of bitches on here. Bitch, bitch, bitch. Oh don't name her Quincy, name her Quinn. Wow, that's helpful.

A name she can grow into? It's not a fucking shoe.

You revived a thread from March just to call people bitches?

(please don't take a cue from her).

ha, agree. not a JD fan but how about Quinn instead? I like that better than Quincy, which sounds more like a boy's name to me.

I've known 3 Quincy's and all were boys. Speaking as someone who has a gender "neutral" name (that is more often mistaken for a boys name), please do NOT name your child something that can be confused. Middle school is hard enough as it is.
