Ironically the teachers who care for their kids all day are also not welcome since they are not high paid. |
So, not poor. Got it. |

And you work at a grocery store Stocking food, And you drive the truck that gets the food here, And you work in all the fast food restaurants that you eat at… Wow, you’re amazing. You do everything. |
They should live in the country where they are legal citizens. |

Nah I’m a SAHM. I did work retail awhile part-time after college. I don’t eat much fast food. Never worked at such an establishment but have family who used to. I don’t think anyone wants me driving a truck, for the sake of everyone’s nerves! Lol |
I moved here in 1996. I guess I imported poverty too. I worked as if I got paid $100k. In reality I often didn't get paid the minimum. Countless other laws were broken along the way like not paying for training, no breaks ever, underage workers.
Three business owners didn't put me on payroll. I had ss number and no objections to payroll and paying taxes. Few others never met the minimum wage requirement. It was not my job to make sure they pay. They were supposed to pay the IRS and me. I was supposed to pay the IRS from what they pay me. It all went to the pockets of owners who went on to open more businesses or retired. Nobody wants to tear down a business in America. Business owners are heroes here. You want your money, go get it from businesses. Leave people alone. None can climb up the ladder or educated themselves if they are worked to death for minimum wage. I have gone to ER straight from work because working conditions. I am not exactly uneducated and I barely made it out of poverty. |
+1. Or they can immigrate her legally, but without a green card or a work permit they shouldn’t be eligible for a single penny worth of services paid for by the tax payer. |
So you have no concept then. |
We need the to do the jobs you will not. |
How about doing construction, nanny, day care worker, restaurant worker? |
Except the rich in MoCo are not getting richer. They are moving out. If you check housing prices in supposed rich areas of MoCo, it is common to see many houses have not exceeded housing bubble pre-GFC highs of 2006. This is not true for affluent areas in DC or Fairfax. |
Crime and schools. If you want to attract well-off people to your area, have low crime and good schools.
Oh, you don't care about keeping high income people in your area? Okay then. |
