Are there not that many women like me who prefer swimsuits with shorts style coverage on the bottom?

Ok , some of us take price in our appearance and work out

Eh it’s all ruined by your witchy attitude so maybe work on that instead.

opioid.

+1 like the women volleyball players, gymnasts, elite runners, etc. Why do the women have to wear bikini/high cut bottoms and men don't?

I hope the trend ends soon. My 50 year old friends who are thin wear bikinis and I just want to tell them to stop. It's really sad to me.

What’s sad is your judgmental attitude.

Yes I think you are weird. I am a pear shape with thick thighs. Square bottom briefs or shorts hit at the widest part of my body and are incredibly unflattering.

? We are sharing the type of bathing suits we like. Some women like covered bottoms so they don't get sand in their hoohaa, and other women like cheeky bottoms so they can tan. Win win.

I assume that the PP’s observation applies to the poster who felt the need to brag that she takes such good care of herself that she just can’t imagine wearing swim shorts. It was obnoxious and unkind to the OP.

OP here. I disagree, I got compliments on my swim short swim tank combo including from my mother who tends to be pretty critical. DH said it looked good in a retro way. I do think I have seen some combinations that just look like you are wearing regular clothes in the pool (I'm not talking about the more athletic focused suits, that's different) and shorts that just don't fit people properly but I absolutely think it can look good.

+1 agree it can look really cute just like shorts and a tank (when fitted right) can look super cute!

We don’t wear them to please or displease you, or anyone else. We wear them because that’s what we like for ourselves. Why do we need to meet your, or anyone else’s standard?

Exactly. If you don't like how I look, avert your gaze.

No, thongs when kids aren’t with us. Regular bikini bottom if they are.

I have worn boy shorts, a bikini top and rash guard for years. Love it.

I've always worn boyshorts or a mini skort for a swimsuit. Usually Athleta or lands end. I am one of those who hates waxing and shaving doesn't quite get the job done.

I’m 45 and my DH always wants me to wear a bikini. I think he’s delusional. I’m the type to cover up everything even though I’m in good shape.
