She’s currently in the news, moron. What do you think “the news” means? |
+1. Had she not become famous, sadly, she'd probably be one of the 16 and pregnant trailer trash girls on MTV. |
She already had money and didn’t need to work. Her dad could have made wise investments and let her live a quiet life. You have to wonder if she’d be the same way if she had the freedom to retire from music at the start of the conservatorship. |
Britney’s largest problem was Lynne’s lack of early boundaries. Drinking wine and margaritas with an eight grader , and allowing 17 year old Britney to get breast implants tells you exactly what kinda mothering she had. Lynne saw Britney as a girlfriend .
The dad was a violent alcoholic with a bad temper. Britney has her fathers addiction issues and temper and mothers clueless naivete. A bad combination. |
Britney was nearly broke in 2006-2007 so she had to work . This is while she was earning millions for People Mag covers and her music and perfumes were a successful passive income route. She was spending that much and allowing so many criminals and hangers on access. Were Jamie and Lynne Spears and KFed supposed to watch her money and herself go down the drain? What would have remained for her boys ? She needs round the clock care . If she weren’t Britney Spears, she would likely live at a group home or be homeless |
I didn’t say she didn’t need help. However I don’t think she got the help she truly needed because her father saw her as a cash cow. Why not appoint an independent conservator? |
+1 she had terrible parents |
Or get her a better treatment plan. |
"Forced to do her job?" The days of slavery and indented servitude are supposed to be over in the USA. |
Didn’t the courts just rule that the dad didn’t spend her money inappropriately? |
He’s earned enough off of Britney. All he did was have kids and he was set for life. The kids are teens. He can’t get payments from B after they are adults, which is soon. |
The problem is her family is trash, so she truly has no one. |
+1 At one point early on Britney tried to retain her own counsel. It was a legit attorney, Adam Streisand, not some schmuck with an office at the mall. The court ruled that she lacked capacity to retain counsel and had to stick with the court-appointed attorney. That's scary. Why couldn't she have a legitimate, high-profile attorney of her choice, as approved and supervised by the courts, just to make sure her interests were being appropriately considered and the conservatorship was working in her best interest? And I'm by no means saying she shouldn't have had a conservatorship; I agreed with it initially. |
I don’t get the KFed hate. He has been the one stable parent and presence in those boys lives. He has raised them. I don’t get the iron grip obsession people have over Britney and hard core hate over her ex. She is totally messed up, mentally and in all other ways. She probably is back on drugs. She surrounds herself with yes people. Why aren’t people laser focused on child support? Yeah, he’s super cheesy but I have never read anything anywhere that he’s a bad parent. And what’s wrong with getting child support from their mother? Is it because he’s the man? If the situation was reverse people wouldnt be so critical. |
Ive always thought that she should be let out of the conservatorship, but under the circumstances she agree to have half of her assets put in a trust that only pays out income, with access to the principal at ages 60, 70, and 80, and 90.
Then let her squander the rest. That would have been the best solution. But enough aside to sustain her comfortably for the rest of her life, with a legit corporate trustee. |
