They can only rehire you if you agree to work with them again.

In the future, never accept a ramp that doesn’t allow you to earn commission.

Anonymous wrote:I just started this week at a software company in an entry level sales position. I have zero sales or software experience, but am very knowledgeable about the industry that they're branching into. I was sitting in on a demo the VP of sales was doing for a big potential client and halfway through it, the VP's internet went out and Zoom defaulted me to be the host. I don't even have internal access to anything yet and haven't even seen the demo. I told the client that I came from a business similar to his, that I really resonated with his pain points and shared some examples, and I was honest that I was on this call for training and don't have access to screenshare the demo, but that from what I've seen, it solves all the pain points and more then rattled off some of the features I saw yesterday. I literally BSed my butt off for 20 mins praying the VP would get back on. Finally, I ended it and said the VP would just call the client to talk through pricing.

The VP just texted me "Ding ding ding deal closed- THANK YOU. Client loved you. This one brought us over our monthly goal line. It'll be partly yours. Will update *boss*"

I'm so pumped. I'm supposed to have 6-8 weeks of training before I get the chance to sell/earn commission. I know it was a total fluke but after being unemployed for the last few months this is a big one for me.

Why would you call it BS’ing? It was not BS’ings.
