Insta pot is great for these. And they peel easily.

There is a whole thing just to cook eggs? Definitely not something my small kitchen needs.

Yes we have a small kitchen and use it all the time.

Anonymous wrote:Feel so silly. I never make them but I needed 12 this week. I read several different recipes and ended up following (by mistake) a combination of 2. So I put the eggs in a pot covered by water, waited for the water to boil and then removed them from the heat (mistake) and let them sit for 12 minutes. Luckily I tested 1. It is not cooked at all. I made scrambled eggs with it.

So...I am thinking of trying to redo with the same eggs? Maybe for 1 minute less cook time? Any ideas? Start over with a new dozen?

If you put a lid on the pot after the water came to a boil, then this is a go-to method.

Yup,,the lid was on. The boil was not a full on about to bubble over but beyond tiny bubbles at the bottom. That is all I can think of.

That might be it. I follow a similar method and it says let boil for a full minute. I think maybe I turn the heat off but keep the pot on the burner.

Sorry, but I would use fresh eggs at this point.

Dump all hot water, cover eggs w/ cold water and peel immediately. I do this every week and get perfectly cooked, easy-to-peel eggs every time.

No, these would be way overcooked.

I boil, add eggs, turn on the lowest setting, cook 12-13 minutes, ice bath.

Ever since I started boiling first, I've never had a problem peeling a single egg. 12 min leaves the innermost part of the yolk juuust cooked. So if you're more comfortable you can go a little longer.

Put eggs in water. Bring to boil. Once it has boiled for a minute, turn the heat off. Rest in the hot water for 11 minutes.

Place in ice bath and peel.

This is what I do. I don’t peel mine though. But they come out perfect and I boil eggs every week as part of my meal prep.
