Favorite space/sci-fi/dystopian/post apocalyptic movies or shows?

28 Days Later. Chilling. An early Cillian Murphy role.

I’m loving 3 Body Problem on Netflix

Gattaca

These two caused me trauma, so be warned:
The Road
Melancholia

The Road, but I found it very disturbing.

Snowpiercer - based on a Korean movie, I believe.

I'm a huge scifi fan. I can't wait for Alien: Romulus. Aliens is probably my favorite scifi movie. Didn't like #3 but Prometheus was intriguing.

Colony (unsatisfying resolution, but fascinating premise)

If you can get your hands on a copy of the Taken miniseries from the early 2000's, it's very good. And Dakota Fanning is great in it.

Equilibrium with Christian Bale, Emily Watson, Sean Bean

Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049

The Expanse

The Expanse is one of my favorites!

Mine too! I hear Fallout, the new Amazon series is a good apocalyptic one.

Colony was good the first couple seasons

Taken was very good, as well. It was a 2 week long event series, iirc. I think it ran on SyFy. Shoot, that would be a really good streamer

Watch the movie; it’s excellent!

Moon - basically a one man movie starring Sam Rockwell

Orville - sci fi show that is like a funnier Star Trek

Europa report - looking for life on Europa

Ex machina - ai, a bit creepy

District 9 - aliens in South Africa, hope there is a sequel.

Jericho was great, but it was cut short. Same for Sense8 which had a similarly rushed ending and Invasion (2005) which was simply cancelled, ending with a cliffhanger.

Oh, right - I liked invasion

Revolution
The 100

+1. Aliens, Predator, Terminator 1 & 2. Assume OP has seen the Hunger Games trilogy.

Equilibrium is excellent. Christian Bale makes shooting people an art.
