Because that’s not the main problem if it’s even true and not just McConnell trying to cover his a#=
They are heavily MAGA so it’s no secret they dump on Biden.
The head of the Border Patrol union is warning that agents, already overwhelmed by the ongoing crisis at the southern border, are feeling "completely defeated" ahead of the ending of Title 42 this week — amid widespread fears of an even bigger surge once the public health order ends.
"We feel completely and totally defeated," National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told Fox News Digital in an interview.
"You can go to any station right now, and there's just not a whole lot of talk among agents," he said. "It used to be that there was a lot of camaraderie, a lot of joking, people just pretty happy doing their jobs now. There's just nothing."
We just feel, we all feel just completely defeated, like there's just no point in doing our jobs. We still do it, don't get me wrong. We still go do our job, but we just feel like there's just absolutely no point. And so it's just really bad."
Border Patrol agents have been demoralized by the Biden administration.
they can quit. I am sure there are others ready to take their place.
Also, nobody takes this union seriously, as they have always had a clear agenda.
You should be a Border Patrol Agent and show them how to patrol the border the right way.
CBP recruitment incentives reach as high as $30,000 for new border patrol agents
As a way to fill gaps in its ranks, United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recently upped its recruitment incentives for agents to as much as $30,000 for those who entered duty on or after Jan. 8, 2024.
Additional incentives were also potentially offered for applicants who took on remote tours of duty in areas like Sierra Blanca, Texas; Presidio, Texas; Sanderson, Texas; Comstock, Texas; Lordsburg, New Mexico; Freer, Texas; Hebbronville, Texas; and Ajo, Arizona. To actually receive either incentive, though, candidates must complete the terms of their service agreement.
“Getting into law enforcement can be difficult. Often, candidates must be willing to move to a new location,” Jason Owens, chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, said.

Border Patrol’s struggles to recruit and keep agents present a seldom-discussed impediment to Trump’s efforts to lock down the U.S.-Mexico border — one that the Trump White House is reluctant to acknowledge.
“It’s a tough job,” said Rep. Michael McCaul, a Republican whose district stretches from outside Houston to the Austin area and is a former chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee. “You’re down in really harsh conditions and you got some migrants throwing rocks at you.”
The struggle to recruit and retain Border Patrol agents predates the Trump administration. The number of agents peaked at 21,444 in fiscal year 2011, and since then has mostly trended downward. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the parent agency to Border Patrol, consistently ranks near the bottom of an annual federal survey of employee satisfaction.

Even under Trump, Border Patrol struggled to recruit. Now throw in Biden attacking federal agents publicly- you think tons of qualified people are going to do the job?
Border Patrol is loosening its grooming and dress standards to allow agents to have tattoos and wear different hairstyles amid a recruiting crisis, according to an internal agency memo obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Agents will now be allowed to have tattoos or brandings on the hands and neck, according to the Sept. 29 memo, which Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens sent to agency leadership. The agency has been increasing efforts to recruit more agents to the force by offering thousands of dollars in sign-on bonuses.
