Just ranting. A little annoyed that someone took my dd's coat from the coat rack and left her with no coat and she had to shiver home! Why would someone take a grubby hand me down old coat?!! But I was not prepared to buy a new one just right now. |

I remember my mom saying the same thing in the 70's when my brother's coat was stolen. |
My son’s was stolen from his locker when he was in middle school. It is so sad that kids would do this. |
Go back tomorrow and see who is wearing your DDs coat! |
My daughter had her coat stolen twice last year- her name and our number written indudr were no deterrent! |
Written INSIDE, sorry |
The same people who would steal a stroller. People steal stuff all the time. Have your DD check if it winds up in the Lost & Found. |
Kids do crazy impulsive things without any regard to the feelings of others or the consequences of their actions. Hopefully, as soon as a parent discovers a rogue coat on their kid or in their house, they will send it back to school. Do you have a backup coat you can use for a few days to see if her coat shows up again? |
Do kids steal them or just wear the wrong coat home?? |
What brand? |
It would be awesome if parents did step in and return stolen items. My experience has been that stolen things dont get returned, sadly. |

Yes. And sometimes these items end up in lost and found. |
Maybe that person needed a coat and thought you would be able to buy your child a new one, whereas, they don have that option. |
