We're hitting the Little Mermaid matinee this weekend and looking for a place where some moms and girls can have a nice meal and some wine before or afterwards. Nothing extremely fancy necessary, but not California Tortilla, either! |
Olney Grill has good food. |
There are a bunch of restaurants up that way - Mama Lucia's, Green Turtle, Olney Ale House, Olney Grill. In case you didn't know, they sell wine that you can drink while you watch the show. My DD loved the show when we saw it a few weeks ago. |
Ricciuti's is a great option right down the road. Kids should like the pizzas, and it's definitely a step up from California Tortilla or the Olney Grill. Olney Ale House is right across the street too, it's a solid choice |
Our DD loves the Sakura hibachi restaurant. |
I did NOT know and you just made my day! |
grill max |
Sorry for the hijack but is the show appropriate for a 3.5 year old? I'd love to take DD but not sure if it's scary. |
Every kid is different, but I find the shows at Olney Theatre (even the family shows) to be the next step after the kids have graduated from Adventure Theatre type shows. Little Mermaid is 2 hours long so yes, I don't think it would be appropriate for a 3.5 year old. |
Riccuitis or Grillmarx |
Sol Azteca is good as well. It's in the same shopping center as Grill Marx. |
When we head to Olney Theatre, we typically go to GrillMarX, about 5 minutes away and same location as most of the restaurants. It is nicer than Green Turtle, food and prices good, and they do fine with kids. |
