I volunteered for this campaign (phone calls & texting from MD) and to even collect signatures, the organizers had to use clandestine tactics. So happy for the people of Missouri!

And yes Hawley is up for reelection and no, that seat is not flipping.

It’s weird that so many Republican voters hate women and love treachery.

The Democratic Party all but abandoned MO, and most “red” states. They weren’t always red. MO had long history of progressive politics. But Dems let GOP overtake state and local governments and now everyone is paying the price. I volunteer to recruit folks to run as Dems in these neglected areas. It will take time to rebuild. A lot of time.

And I thank you for doing it!

Blue Missouri is a great org that raises funds for the brave people who raise their hand to run as Dems. Please consider donating. $50 can go a long way in MO.

I will consider it. That’s a good suggestion.

(Am I the only person who would love to do little one off donations like that to places that are, strictly speaking, irrelevant to me but get so annoyed at the constant emails after the fact?)

Hate to break it to you, but there are already cameras in almost every house.

Yep. They’ll just pass laws forcing Amazon, Google etc to turn over your data to the state.

Exactly. Why do you think women were being warned not to use period trackers after Roe v Wade was overturned?

Target can tell if you are pregnant, I'm sure Google and Amazon can too.

FWIW the don't fundraise through Act Blue or sell your info. For sister org, Blue Ohio, I get 1 email per week at most.

JoDonn Chaney, a spokesman for the Secretary of State, said it is unlikely signature verification will be finalized in time for any of the ballot measures to land on the August primary.

GOP also trying to enact a measure that would raise the threshold for ballot measures before abortion measure. Alice in Wonderland-like.

When your policies are so horrible you need to change the rules mid-game...
