I know the exact date and time slot in March. I feel like it is way too early to book though.
How far in advance do you book a party venue for a kid's party? |
At least 1 month. If the venue if very popular or that date/time is and you are not flexible, the earlier the better. |
There are venues that book MONTHS in advance (Dynamite gymnastics is one that I've had to be really careful to book EARLY). So if they're taking reservations now, go ahead and book it. |
The time slot I wanted for two months later was already booked! I was surprised. |
Totally depends on the venue. DD wanted a birthday at Silver Stars gymnastics and we booked three months in advance and took the very last spot they had that month.
We booked a party for DS at Wheaton Regional in the carousel room and were able to find a spot the day after his birthday only a month in advance. |
If you know the date and time you want, book it now unless there's a reason you think that might change. Things around here fill very quickly, especially places like gymnastics or bounce houses or Little Gym/Gymboree/MoBu Kids type places. |
Can't hurt to give them a call and ask when they open the books for your time slot. |
Its never to early to book. One month out, would be tough to get a spot. |
DD's birthday is early May and we're planning on booking in January. If you're in the greater DC area, I think "too early" is most likely 6+ months. |
