What type of clothes hangers do you use?

Do you prefer wood, plastic, wire? Do you stick to one kind? Do you have a mishmash?

I have 90% colored plastic! the rest are wood. I will not use wire.

I have a mish mosh, but prefer wood. Last so much longer, and don't sag when I hang pants over them.

The free ones iget from the store when I buy clothes. I just ask for the hangers.

Blazers and suit jackets go on cedar hangers. I have three kinds: jacket only, jacket + pants, jacket + skirt.

Shirts, dresses, pants go on Huggable Hangers. Skirts go on skirt hangers.

DH's dress shirts go on plastic hangers. I assume he has shaped hangers (wood or plastic) for his suits and jackets.

DD uses Huggable Hangers for everything except skirts, which are clipped to child-size plastic tubular hangers.

DD has her own color of hangers. Makes it easier to keep her stuff straight from mine, and prevents hangers disappearing in her room, never to be seen again. If there aren't enough of her hangers in the laundry room, I know to bug her to bring them down.

I use wood ones for jackets, pants, suits, dresses and plastic ones for blouses, hangable sweaters, tops. Skirts are on skirtclip hangers.

That probably doesn't look nice.

Mostly plastic tubular, except skirts which go on skirt hangers. Except when I bring a big batch of stuff back from the dry cleaners and am too lazy to transfer everything to my own hangers, and the whole lot goes straight into the closet on the cleaners' wire hangers.

A couple of our nicer suits are on wooden hangers.

Who cares what the inside of the closet looks like?

Only on DCUM will you see a question like this with such detailed responses.
This is an example of people who are “conspicuously affluent” or, at least, want to appear so in their own minds.

I care what my whole house looks like. I spent thousands on closet systems. Of course I care. I don't want it to look tacky.

Huggable hangers in black for everything except heavy coats and suits. Those are on wood ones from ikea or costco. I like to have my and husbands closets look nice, easier to find things.
I was thinking of switching to lighter colored huggable but that's too much $ just for an aesthetic change.

Who is going to see the inside of your closet besides immediate family members and maybe household helpers?
