Of course prices can go down.
It's unlikely, but definitely possible. Don't try to time the market. Other factors can affect your monthly cost. If rates rise, for example -- suddenly the house costs more even though its actual price isn't likely to drop. |

Ahhh, I believe OP was referring to WoodBRIDGE, not WoodRIDGE. Unless OP mistyped. Woodbridge, VA---Nope, wouldn't buy anything there. Woodridge DC--Absolutely yes to buying. How big? What street? |

+1. Most people that live out there, work out there. DC isn't for everyone! Our commutes would be horrific if we lived in DC |

| Yes to 9:11 - I know people who have tried to sell in Woodbridge and taken big losses or had their houses sit on the market for months. So you really want someone who knows that market. And you should use the same criteria you'd use anywhere else. Is this a good commute for me? Will it be a good commute from other places I might work? How are the schools? Do I plan to stay long enough that I can ride out short-term market fluctuations?? |
