Where to buy outdoor furniture in northern VA

Anonymous
I have basically one afternoon to get this done so I want to maximize my time. I don't want to order something online if I haven't seen it in person. People have recommended Offenbacher's, and I was also thinking about maybe the patio store on Route 7 or the place in 7 corners. Any feedback on those places, or other suggestions? We live in Arlington. Budget is mid-range. Thanks!

Don't know exactly what you are looking for but the Costco near Mount Vernon has some good outdoor stuff, as do Lowe's and Home Depot.

I bought mine from Target, and it still looks great after 5 years.

If your budget is in the middle range, I don't know that I would go to Offenbachers. Home Depot & Lowes have plenty of higher end sets. If you want something more rustic, there is a Plow & Hearth store at Fairfax Corner.

Lawn and Leisure
Sears
Lowes or Home Depot

OP here. THanks for all of the suggestions. When you say don't go to Offenbacher's, you mean b/c it is expensive? How expensive are we talking? I'd like to spend no more than $3K on a dining table and chairs to seat 6. Thanks so much!

OP, the "basic" set we want at Offenbachers is about $4000 on sale. I think you may want to start elsewhere.

Depot has some nice stuff and they are starting to put it on sale.

Bought a mid-line Tropitone set from Lawn and Leisure in 2003/2004 -- it gets a ton of use every summer and is still holding looking great.

Check out Sears also. Nice sets, very reasonable.

I bought my patio set at the patio furniture store on route 7. Most of the items there are made of teak, which is good because it is very durable and will last forever with minimal care, but it is expensive.

Home Escapes in Reston. Saw nice stuff at Home Goods in Tyson's & elsewhere recently.

Offenbachers is under new ownership and they apparently have 4 stores in the DMV now. My wife and I went to the one in Herndon and they have a nice big showroom with all kinds of outdoor furniture at a variety of price points. They have a bunch of traditional stuff but also some really nice contemporary stuff. We ended up getting Grand Tuscany dining set from there, which has a traditional look that matches our tastes. It's very comfortable and extremely solid, and the price was very reasonable, especially with the promotion they were running. The furniture is nothing like the stuff you see at the big box stores. Our sales person was awesome too, and so was the delivery crew. Just my two cents.
