Uppababy Glite versus Gluxe

Anonymous
I received the UB glite as a gift. My dd is 6.5 mos and we could start using an umbrella stroller soon. I am wondering if it would be worth it to return the glite for the g luxe in order to get the recline. We have used the vista as a snap n go now and the thing is a beast. I'm my really sure how I will use another stroller yet. Any suggestions on whether to stick with the Glite or upgrade?

If you think you'd use the recline, it is a really nice feature to have. My DS would sometimes sleep in it, but not that he's older, I don't think he will, so the lighter Glite would probably be preferable to me now, but when he would sleep in the reclined Gluxe, it was a lifesaver.

GLuxe save me a few times where there was nowhere clean to change a diaper. reclined the gluxe into a changing table!

Have the gluxe but wish I got the glite to save a few lbs. we never use the recline, my DS never seems to want to nap out and about. But it's still a great stroller, so you'll be great either way.

For that age, I'd probably go with the Gluxe but we got ours around 1.5 years so we went with the Glite as son never cared about being reclined and weight was a major reason for the purchase. Both are great strollers.

I own a lite and I love it. It's very light weight and great for taking on the bus. It had a nice big basket and big sunshade. I'm a nanny and a family I work with has the gluxe, got it on my recommendation of the lite. Their baby was six months at the time. I've used both and occasionally wish I had the recline feature on mine, but really that's the only difference. If you think you'll be out during nap time a lot, then get the gluxe. If you'll be using it on transit, then get the lite. If a kid is truly tired, they'll sleep anywhere, regardless of the recline. Personally, I try to have kids nap in bed vs the stroller, so it doesn't often come up for me.

Transit=lite, regularly out during naps =gluxe.

They're both great strollers.

Depends on how often you'll use it. We usually only use our GLite for travel, trips to the mall, etc., so the recline feature wasn't worth the extra money and weight. We're very happy with it--terrific stroller!
